Ellie & Chris’s Shepperton Wedding
Creative Wedding Photographer
As a creative wedding photographer I am always excited by couples with interesting wedding plans and beautiful wedding venues. Ellie & Chris had a great artistic vision and a few lovely touches to their day along with a reception venue that really got my creative juices flowing. They contacted me about a year before their big day after a mutual friend recommended me to them. Their wedding ceremony took place at St. James Church, a very beautiful building set within a small but lovely little garden, perfect for photos. There was one problem though, initially their vicar had told them there was no photography allowed, but after Ellie and Chris talked him round and I was able to convince him I wasn’t a trouble maker I was able to get the full set of photos I had hoped to capture. Their church has, so far, been the best church I have photographed in, they have all the mod cons when it comes to lighting so Ellie & Chris were lite perfectly and I was able to capture some beautiful atmospheric shots.
The venue I was really excited about was Ellie & Chris’s reception venue at Shepperton studios, they had a wonderful Manor House hidden amongst the studio warehouses that had so many great spots for photos. It is important for me to be a creative wedding photographer, always trying something new and taking advantage of the different venues and locations I get to work with. So after looking around Shepperton Studios with Ellie & Chris on our pre visit I started planning for some beautiful creative wedding photos. I new I had to use the balcony over looking the amazing checkerboard floor, this angle and view isn’t always possible so it is important to make the most of it when it is available to me. I was also able to get some lovely bright shots out on the private land we had access to, giving Ellie & Chris a wonderful variety of photos from their big day.
So the church looked great, the reception architecture and grounds looked great but to top it off Chris and his brother set up some spectacular lighting for the wedding breakfast creating an amazing backdrop of colour during the species and the first dance.
The thought Ellie & Chris had put in to every detail of their big day really made it unique, I hope these photos can go some way to showing just how spectacular it all was.
Congratulations Ellie & Chris xx
