St Marys Church Wedding
Dawn & Lee
I was so excited to be Dawn and Lee’s photographer for their St Marys church wedding. Not only were they the sweetest couple but their wedding was in my local town. Right from the start Dawn & Lee were so relaxed about everything and happy to follow my lead on ideas and plans for their photography. On the morning of the wedding I spent a few hours with Dawn while she was getting ready and her relaxed approach continued. Like every bride, nerves set in just before leaving for the church.
I had been waiting for the opportunity to photograph a St Mary’s church wedding since starting my business and it met my expectations. St Mary’s church is situated on Hemel Hempstead old High street, facing onto Gadebridge park where there are some beautiful flower gardens. I couldn’t resist including these flower gardens into my plans for Dawn and Lee’s big day so I took Dawn, Lee, the bridesmaids and the grooms men for some great photos hidden away from the rest of the wedding party.
During my first meeting with Dawn and Lee we discuss plans, timings and their ideas for their big day, they loved the idea of having some couple shots by the canal and wanted to make the most of their beautiful wedding car. So I planned a little trip for them after the ceremony to a quite spot by the canal in boxmoor, it was a great result and not a sole in site to disrupt the shots.
The wedding breakfast took place at Boxmoor lodge and I have to say the venue looked amazing! Boxmoor lodge has a lovely marquee attached to the building with a star lit ceiling and a great garden to the back which was perfect for smaller group shots. The dance floor was so intimate with a candle lit fire place that set it all off beautifully.
Congratulations Dawn & Lee
