Fun Outdoor Family Photography Session

Hertfordshire Family Photographer

I love working on fun outdoor family photography sessions and thought it was time I shared a session with you in more detail so you can see what kind of things we get up to. With all of my portrait photography sessions I like to keep them as natural and fun as possible so the children feel relaxed and I can capture the relationships and personalities that are unique to each family.

Fun outdoor family photography sessions make this approach really easy. I spend an hour or so heading out on a lovely walk or adventure with each family and let the children take the lead. We all know it’s hard to keep children’s attention for a long period of time so it’s important to keep things moving. By turning everything into a game, a race or a challenge I’m able to maintain the fun and enjoyment of the session while keeping the children’s attention.

Today I’m sharing some photos of the beautiful Saha family. I met them at their home in Hertfordshire and spent a few minutes with the kids to help them relax and feel comfortable around me. We then headed out for a walk around the local area and spent around an hour having fun and capturing some beautiful moments.

With every family photography session I aim to get a wide variety of photos, from full family to individuals of the children and everything inbetween. I hope this lovely session gives you a better understanding of what you can expect from a fun outdoor family photography session and the kind of images you will receive afterwards too.

Outdoor family photography session

There is no bad time to have an outdoor family session, you can embrace the rain with wellies and umbrellas, get your woolly hats on for some fun in the autumn leaves or spend a spring afternoon in the bluebells. It all looks amazing in different ways. Summer is of course still the most popular time of year to have an outdoor family session and the busiest time of year for me.

If you would like a family session then please get in touch to secure a date in the diary, especially if you would like a summer session.
