Portugal Destination Wedding
Lizzy & Rocco’s Pine Cliffs Hotel wedding
Where do I start with this beautiful Portugal destination wedding! Lizzy & Rocco first got in touch with me to discuss the photography for their UK reception. While telling me about there plans they mentioned their wedding was going to be at the stunning Pine Cliffs Hotel in Portugal so I jumped at the chance to tell them all about my destination wedding photography packages as well.
They said yes! Yay! So I was off to Portugal, I flew in a couple of days early to visit the venue and talk through final plans with Lizzy & Rocco. The venue was beautiful and surprisingly private for such a large luxurious resort. I then set off for a walk down to the beach to scout out the best places for photos ahead of the wedding. The scenery was so beautiful, the orange cliff tops and the dark wooden walkway that leads to the beach were a photographers dream.
Lizzy & Rocco planned a very intimate day with under 50 guests. The venue had a lovely shaded area creatively sectioned off to the rest of the resort to keep it private and it really did the trick, it felt like there was no one else around. On the wedding day Lizzy & Rocco were both calm and collected before the ceremony, taking their time to get ready and soak up every moment.
The ceremony took place at the edge of the venue overlooking the sea, with tables set further back so guest could dine under the trees, simply beautiful.
It was a very emotional day for everyone and I think it really shows just how lovely the couple are through their guests emotion and reactions on their big day.
