Colourful Festival wedding

Inspiration for couples who love a party

This colourful festival wedding shoot was created last year to encourage couples to go big on the party and be bold with colour. I brought together a awesome team of suppliers to work on this shoot that was not only fun and loud but eco consious too, eco doesn’t have to be muted!

Since lockdown this shoot has taken on a much bigger and deeper meaning. Starting out simply as a bold inspirational shoot to help couples think outside the box to becoming a great example of a post Covid wedding. We want couples to go all out when their big day comes around, we have been shouting ‘love wins’ for months but we want couples to be shouting about it on the day too. When wedding parties are allowed we want them to be huge and we want everyone to have the best celebration so we hope that this shoot inspires couples to do just that.

As you look through the images from this shoot you will see lots of fun ideas and details we added to make this shoot unique. We started with the concept of a hanging floral center piece for the top table that was beautiful created by Rose Hip Bespoke using only eco friendly and reusable materials. Within the flowers we added pom poms from Fleur De Lace, an idea that was taken through from the table florals to the brides bouquet and the venue decor as well.

The bright and varied colour pallet in the florals was mirrored in the lights, ribbons and bunting that decorated the venue to bring the whole shoot together. If you’re going bold with colour put it everywhere!

We also added in a super fun pinata for our couple to smash, this is a great idea for couples looking for a unique way to entertain their guests. It’s hilarious to watch but you don’t have to stop at one, why not get a couple for your guests to enjoy. You could even put the wedding favours inside.

Every festival has got to have glitter so our festival style wedding had to have it too and our amazing make up artist had just the thing. Glamavan Glitter not only does bridal makeup but also has her own line of eco glitter which she hires our as a glitter bar for weddings and events. We had to get in on this so painted our couple in glitter for an extra layer of fun.

I hope this shoot inspires you to make a few bold decisions, break the mold and try something different.

With flamingos at the entrance, neon lights on the dance floor, pinatas hanging up, festival flags outside, a glitter bar and sequins on the dress there is no doubt you’re going to have an epic party!
