Weddings at The Barn at Alswick
What I love about this Hertfordshire wedding venue
I thought about writing a blog on just one wedding here at The Barn at Alswick but it has so much to offer that you just can’t capture in one day so I decided to tell you about the venue itself instead. It also means I can share lots of differen weddings with you all in one blog.
I have been shooting weddings at The Barn at Alswick for at least 5 years now (maybe more) and every wedding has had a differet look & style. The beautiful, characterful barn is the perfect blank canvas to decorate as much (or as little) as you want, to make it truly unique to your wedding day.
The barn is just one part of what this venue has to offer. What you may not have seen is the incredible festoon glamping site set up for you and your closest friends and family to enjoy on the night of your wedding. Which means the party never has to end!
But my favourite part of this venue is the grounds. When you book The Barn at Alswick for your wedding you also get access to the most beautiful private gardens that only the couple can explore. Unlike most venues that have the pretty flower beds and well kept lawn, this venue has so much more. From open meadow areas (amazing for photos in the long grass!) and vine covered arched walkways, to a green house with a palm tree entrance (for more unique photos together) and a tree lined drive way. Not forgetting the glamp site I mentioned earlier, which is amazing for evening photos when the lights come on.

I couldn’t write this blog and not mention the team at The Barn at Alswick. They are always 100% on the ball, keeping your schedule on time and the wine flowing. The are such a great help to suppliers like me, even helping to organise 70+ drunk guests to do a sparkler aisle, for me that is an absolute god send!
I can’t wait to be back again very for more beautiful weddings this year!
