Kings Chapel – Amersham
Hertfordshire wedding venue
Hertfordshire is a beautiful county, steeped in history and surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty. There are also plenty of beautiful Hertfordshire wedding venues, making it a great spot to start your wedding venue search.
There is one Hertfordshire wedding venue that I am currently in love with, it has an abundance of character & history, it is unique in design and it ticks all the important boxes that couples look for in a wedding venue. The venue I’m talking about is Kings Chapel in Amersham.
The Kings Chapel is a 17th century building originally used as a chapel (of course), which means the building is full of beautiful design details. The main room, now used for ceremonies and wedding breakfasts, has incredible high ceilings and huge high windows that drape the room in natural light. There is also a large open balcony in the main hall, which offers a great opportunity to capture images from above during the wedding ceremony.
It not only has the stunning main hall but a beautiful ornate side room, which is used for the drinks reception and evening party. From here you climb a couple of stairs to reach a lovely little bar tucked away around the corner.
Why this venue is awesome!!
– It is an exclusive venue, so no one else will be using it on the day of your wedding.
– Your whole wedding can take place here, from the getting ready to the evening party.
– There are rooms for you and your guests to stay at the Kings Chapel sister Hotel – The Kings Arms, located within the same courtyard as the venue.
– Amersham is located on the metropolitan line so travelling in from London is easy and stress free.
– Kings Chapel class themselves as a ‘Blank canvas’, allowing couples to go as big on decoration and details as they desire.
So it’s safe to say I am a big fan of this venue. I had been waiting to get a chance to work at this venue for a few years, having worked on events at The Kings Arms previously I had seen first-hand how beautiful the venue really was. It was only in February this year I actually got the chance to work with Kings Chapel and what an awesome wedding it was!
Kings Chapel real wedding
Anna & Kevin got married at Kings Chapel in February this year and had a colourful and very personal wedding with 70 of their closest family and friends. They put so much time and thought into their wedding, creating hundreds of multi-coloured paper cranes and cross stitching every guest a little portrait. They went brave with colour and got the incredibly skilled Sorcha from Herbert & Isles to create bold coloured floral displays to decorate the key features within the venue. It looked amazing; Anna & Kevin created an elegant yet fun style that was unique to them and their day.
If you are planning a slightly alternative wedding then this might just be the perfect inspiration. Get in touch with Kings Chapel and go see it for yourselves… Oh and please get in touch if you book with them, I am eagerly awaiting my next opportunity to work there!
